i found a car im interested in at a dealer in georgetown, but it got nailed by the hailstorms they had there last night. the guy said that the dealers insurance would pay for the dent removal, and theyd knock some off the price; but i was just wondering a few things. i think it will be the suction cup method, but im not positive.
how good is the work, usually? does it stretch the metal? will i come back in 5 yrs to find my car pockmarked where the dents reformed or anything like that? how much should they knock off the price for this? theyre already asking $2200 over bluebook, but still... thanks!

My first Bu... The 05 that got crashed had a dent in it when I bought it. They took it to a detailing shop and did a good job. But I don't have that car anymore.
I have no idea what meathod they used to get it out either.
Now I got the new 06.

You can try the dry ice method.
Park in the sun a few hrs to warm the metal. Get some dry ice wrap it in a towel and rub the dent. Usually if not real big the supercooling of the dry ice will shrink the hot metal enuf to pop the dents out and no paint damage/repair is required.
Ive done it it works.

Typically when an area has a hail storm there will be people on the side of the road i the area or renting empty parking lots to do PDR. I had 2 cars get punded with hail in Oklahoma, like 200-300 dents. Insurance gave me $2,300 and I paid like $400 for them to do it and I was more than happy!

A few years back, when we had hail, both my wife's Explorer and my daughters F-150 got caught real bad(broken wndshields, ect). I had Chris from Dent Masters do both trucks. The explorer had $2900 in damage, the F-150 $1800. After replacing the windshields, I had Chris repair the dents. Both cars looked like golf balls to begin with, and for $1800, he had both looking like new, done at my house.I am very **** about my cars, and I was amazed.I later had him repair some door dings in my Cobra, and some minor hail damage on my daughters Honda.I would recomend and use him again if needed. His phone number is 210-646-2455.

A good PDR guy is a magician to me. But I'm now fixing a Tahoe for a guy who had PDR done by a guy who had a small clue at best. :omg: Last I checked, you don't drill holes to do PDR. The whole point of PDR is NO PAINT.
The best guy I know does good work too, and even he wouldn't have been able to PDR this Tahoe. But also Check with Bananna Hands for PDR. :mick:
