Regret. That is about all I have to say.

I had my car custom painted about 2 months ago....I am heading to my 3rd repaint now.

I have hand prints....yes, hand prints in the paint AGAIN.

First time it was on the decklid so they had to repaint that, but they ended up repainting the car because of other minor things I was unhappy with.

After getting the car back, I found 2 more handprints on the car. This time on the hood and on the strip between the windsheild and top. Aaarrgghhhh!

Can you say FRUSTRATED!!

I hate having to do this again...the car is always a mess when i get it back and I hate being without my car for days on end.

Why the hell can't they do it right, sigh....

How the heck did they allow handprints to get in your paint? WHo painted it?

Paint is always a PITA.

When I asked how the prints got there... I was told when they handle the parts of the car, oils from the hands get on the metal.

They say they use solvents to clean the metal before they paint it, but obvisouly they dont get it all off and then the oils 'bleed' thru the paint. Only way to get the prints off is to sand the car and repaint.

whats up with all these BS problems on the 06's?
It's not the fact that it's an 06. It's the shop. They aren't being thorough in the prep. Iv'e heard of that before, but it's never happened to me. I hope they get it right. Unfortunately, unless you want to pay again, you are stuck with that shop
