Folks, our s197 is a dream car come to life for us. It has a nice little kick in the seat when you get on it. We've really upgraded the car inside and out sicne we got it in 2006. Under the hood we added a BBK CAI, a TB, a ported/polished TB, BBK headers, and a Magnaflow cat-back system. These bolt-ons have been great and we noticed a little increase with each modification, but nothing great. Well, we bought an SCT handheld flash tuner from Americna Muscle and they give you choices of three tunes and you get free tunes for life. It cost $379.99 with feree s/h. It was worth every penny!!!!

Now, all the mods have been programmed into the computer and the lacking factory settings have been reprogrammed with a performance tune. WOW! The first drive after the tuner was like driving a whole new car. Seriously! It really unleashed a beast! I have not tried the economy tune for better gas mileage, but all I can say is that I am having too much fun with the performance tune. It is AMAZING!

So, if you have a stock 6er then you want to get the most out of your ride in gas or performance... get this tuner! If you have added bolt ons like we did, you will not experience the full potential of your new parts and $$$ you have spent until you tune it... get this tuner!

We are both totally amazed at how the Stang is performing! WOW!!!!!!!!!

sounds great Ike. I can't believe I've had my stang for over three years and with all the mods I've never installed cold air induction and a tuner. maybe because the highest posted speed limit on Guam is 45 MPH. Last week I ordered a JLT and a sct tuner from brenspeed, so looks like I get some new thrills just like you've expierenced.................:t oast:

now you need to get it dyno tuned. i did mine after install and they squeezed 25 more hp out of car. a little bit more money but well worth it

Thanks!

I can afford the runs on the dyno (like $50 - $60 here for 3 runs), but the cost of the tuning can be up there in the hundreds and I just don't have it now with our situation. Maybe I can get it dialed in one day down the road. Extra HP is always welcome!
