I have a 03 Cobra and I'm thinking about eliminating my hood prop and getting some hood shocks. Its a stock hood....any suggestions? Ray

I used MRT, they install using factory screws (no drilling) unlike redlines that are riveted on

NOTE: make sure you clean all the paint off the hood mounting studs before taking the nuts loose, the studs may come loose on the hood if you dont

I like my redline as well. Was pretty easy to install. I don't know about the MRT, but if it is factory holes, that might be a better choice.

Hi All, Thanks for the input on the hood struts. I went with the MRT brand. Recieved them yesterday afternoon and I installed them before supper. Very easy install using existing bolts ( Mikesvtgt, thanks for the stud bolt tip!) They look great and work great too. I will be glad to show them off (Kenny!) Ray

I wish someone had told me about the stud bolts, I learned the hard way.

I have MRT's painted to match. And switched out the fender bolt for a stainless steel button head allen head bolt.
