Since my freak accident with my blue V6 about a month ago the insurance company finally set it up for the needed repair/repaint:

Pics of it in the paint booth were taken early Friday morning and sitting outside were taken early Saturday. They still have quite a ways to go with it before Tuesday afternoon when I am scheduled to pick it back up.

Thanks. It's the stock factory Ford color Bright Atlantic Blue for the car. I had seen this car for awhile and even checked awhile back to see if it was for sale and finally one day I saw CVD written on it and quickly snatched it up.
Sadly, about a half hour after I picked it up I had parked it in front of our old house in isabela and it was hit from behind which launched it down the road which is on a hill where it then crashed through an old metal gate which flipped on top of the hood and then proceeded to be dragged over the hood scraping across the hood and then over the roof, down the back and damaging, gouging and overall badly damaging the entire top surface of the car. The first impact into the fence gate did a number on the front bumper and snapped the chin spoiler in half, then as it was dragged across the top it tore off the hood scoop, damaging both the upper sections of the windshield and rear window gaskets, and before it was done it took a small chunk out of the rear spoiler and down over the rear bumper leaving deep slices into the rear bumper. It ended up damaging the entire top surface in places including the entire roof and even deeply gouging part of the windshield which also needed to be replaced. That first day with the car went from a very exciting day to a freakin' nightmare in less than an hour.

I wonder why they painted it with the back bumper on and the trunk open

From what I understand since the paint is exact to the original, they really only had to repair and repaint the surface, but in some areas depending on the damage required pieces being removed to do it properly. They are actually doing an even better job than what is required and being paid for.
