Back up lights not working. Lamp is good. Don't think these go thru a fuse, can't find the fuse box anyway. Logically they have to have some switching mech in the activity of shifting into rev, right? Does anyone have images of what I ight be looking for?
Thanks,:pointlaff heather

Update: They do go thru a fuse (accessory) and they work when I press the switch with my finger. I wonder if it is mounted in the wrong place as i don't currently see any armiture that could make contact to press it when in reverse.
Any images would me helpfull, not a mechanic just a stage manager.
thanks heather

I'll send you a link to a pic of my 66 3-speed shifter (since the board won't let me post it myself). The shifter linkage is what pushes on the (yellow) plunger to turn on the lights. Maybe your mount bolt came loose and the switch rotated out of the way?
On the other hand it won't let me send a PM either..... try [www].[eaglekepr].[com]/kevin/ReverseSwitch.jpg without the brackets.

All fixed.
Just needed to rotate the switch in to the path of the gear arm.
Thanks
