lessons learned to pass on:
must cut long tubes to install and remove brace on k member
mini starter is a good purchase
engine hoist hood that can tilt the engine makes it so much easier
more to come when it try to start this thing. definately video too

What do you mean by cutting long tube to install? Is this so you can get it around the steering shaft?

i bought summit long tubes and there are notches in between the ports where i had to cut and the tubes slipped outta a sleeved part near the collector. what kinda headers do you have that you didn't have to cut? just curious to know. and its an edelbrock victor jr. intake.

yeah i thought about doing that with the engine on the hook, they went in so easy with the engine down on the mounts. did you all have any problems with the starter and the long tubes? i know i couldn't get the starter in with the headers bolted on and its a mini starter too.

Yea, had to unbolt header to change it, thats why I kept the shorties on the 87.
