transmission help!

ok guys im getting a 4 speed transmission for the 65, it has a c4 in it now what all do i need to make the swap?

lots of stuff, for starters:

z bar, clutch pedal setup, flywheel ( different from the flex plate you have now)

clutch setup, new yoke for the front of the drive shaft ( usually different)

gonna have to cut a hole in the floor, shifter and boot.

There is probably more than I am mentioning right now, but I gotta run

why not look at moderndriveline.com and do a t5/5spd instead? Plus they can make you a list of everything needed, then you could buy as a package from them or search around a get everything yourself. :dunno:

because im gettin the 4 speed for $300 with the shift linkage, hurst shifter, and the chrome shifter bezel and boot

t-5 would get you much better gas milage and still be able to run lower gears for the bottom four.
I know I had one in mine.
