so i finally got the grommet i needed for the 2000 to stop that fuel leak, got done about 45 minutes before i had to leave for the marine corps ball on saturday... done issue. so then i take my 66 out for a spin today to make sure everything was still running good and it did, hell it ran great, i was on the turning lane doing about 20 and no one would let me over so i smashed the gas and that thing took off like a bat out of hell spinning tires and everything. but then i get home and some thing is leaking under the hood, so i looked and theres 2 lil holes in the back of the fuel pump squirting fuel pout like it was cool, the odd thing is that those holes look like theyre supposed to be there???? any ideas ordo i just need a new pump and call it a day?

hmmmm .. was it leaking from a hose or the pump ??? If it is the pump, I say pull it, check it out, and possibly replace .. a car should NEVER leak fuel ...

if its a manual fuel pump maybe the diaphragm is starting to leak..im not sure if a these pumps can throw fuel back into the oil pan too, i know that happened with an older toyota with a manual pump..ill look at mine i have a manual and they are only about 30 dollars i think.

the diagphram or the pump, im guessing the whole thing right? well i looked at some online and theres the cheapo brands for about 25 and then the holley ones for about 67... kinda big jump if u ask me... any recomendations on the brands?

I hate fuel leaks I had quite a few of them to deal with this past summer.

if you arent feeding a huge carb, no need for the holley pump. A stock mechanical replacement should be fine for you
