Well I took it apart again and found what had happened it looks like it had a piston problem and the rotating assembly was replaced with a 428 crank and a set of forged pistons the only problem was the block was paper thin on one cylinder so I gave it up. Spent forever and a fair amount of cash and got a Genisis 427 side oiler and put a 483 stroker set up in which I think was good but we used a Crane Hyd roller and I belive after the dyno pull the hydralic was a bad idea. It has a set of pro race ported Eldebrock heads with big 427 size valves and a performer rpm manifold opened up to match the heads and a 950cfm Hardcore Holley conversion. As new and holding a 5100 rev limit it put out 490 hp at the top but 650 ft lbs of torque at 3300 and I think it would have put out more torque if we had had the nerve to pull it lower. So it would make a great tractor pull motor. I think it will be a ball as a street motor with a 1000hp rated AOD and a 3.89 locker but I will let you know in a couple of weeks. 500575
