Ok went to the track yesterday for the first time ever. I had so much fun I can't wait to go back. I learned a lot about what to do and not to do. Atleast I can only get better from here.
These times are on street tires, I can improve a ton on these times with slicks.

First day at the track...augh the excitement and being nervous! Learning burn-outs and the tree! Learning that if you wait for the green ya waited to late! Smell of smoke in the air and how to hit the water box! I remember when I first hit the 7's(1/8) in my 02 GT..man I was ear to ear!!!! Need to get up to San Antonio in the Cobra one weekend with some of you guys there! Congrats on your first trip...and now your addicted and you like it!!!:snicker: -Shane

Yeah !! Exactly! I had no idea how the lights work how to do a burn-out how to launch off the brakes. I had no idea where 1/8 mile was where the 1/4 ended. I was sooooooooo nervous I got confused a lot but there were people there ready to explain everything to me, the guy running the tree pulled me to the side showed me everything how the tree works the 7 inches between the 2 lights. There was just so much going on at once.
At this point I couldn't watch any gauges or anything I just focused on going straight and whats in front of me. But man if I didn't love the speed. 2 of the runs I gave to much gas for the tires and spun but still did a 12.9
I didn't have the pedal pushed fully down until around the 1/8 mile so things can improve a lot more. I can't wait to go back!

very nice times
Very good MPH. You should see some 11s with a good hook and 60ft time. :marc:

Running 490 rwhp with all supporting mods.
My tires were kdw2's so nothing special.
My times were all high for what the car can do. I didn't have the gas to the floor until after the 1/8 I was always worried about spinning the tires which is really easy to do.
I'm in chicago this week with the car will be driving back to columbia Saturday so the plan is to hit the track again Wednesday or so. I want to get some good times in on street tires until I pick up my slicks. Plus I really need more practice not everyone can whip out 11's at thier first track visit. Going from a deadstop is 100% different then a 40 roll. IMO
