A friend of mine has a supercharger on his 05' GT. the car has a hard time idling and warmin up..once it is warmed up it runs fine...the car seems like it wants to flood out when it is cold..and if he doesnt keep it running while its cold and lets it die..it takes like 15-20 mins to get it started again...he had this put on by a local shop in houston..he went in for his final tune the other day and told the shop bout this problem and they made him feel like this is a common problem and he is stuck with it...any suggestions...the plugs were pulled and checked before the final tune and everything checked out fine...Im not savvy on superchargers and new to the mustang world...any help would be greatly appreciated...I told him take it back and make them fix it..I think he is tired of messing with them...it has taken the shop forever to put the final tune on the car...

He needs to take it to another tuner and have them look at the tune. If this didn't happen before the blower install, it's highly unlikely it is a blower problem, but a tune problem or possibly a fuel problem. More than likely it's the tune, BTW what shop is tuning it?

I bought the tuning software and there are only a zillion different things that are adjustable. One of the things is a timing retard based on engine temperature, plus fuel enrichment based on temperature. The tune definately needs some tweaking. Lots of these guys also turn off the EGO's, and that will kill fuel economy and fail your inspection.

I told him it wasnt doin that before the supercharger and I felt that there was a tuning issue and I would take it back and make them fix it or bite the bullet and take it somewhere else and have them fix it...thanks for the replies..

Sorry to hear about your friends troubles.
I have had my SuperCharger on since last December and have never had any trouble with rough, high idle or starting the car. I could not be more pleased with it and the shop that did the install and tune. If SP will not fix it for your friend have them drive a bit further south to Patrick at PSI.
PM me if you need more info.

Well i have an 07 with a KB on, and the frist time the car was tuned it was horrible. i started to have they same problems as your friend and also i had a throttle respond from hell. You woulds hit the gas and it would kick in 2 days later.. Took the car to another tuner who had the car for 3 days but it was worth it because he fixed everything.
Whats he using a Predator or SCT OR ??
I think all the problems are in the tune:marc:
