ARE Five Stars on my 82GT

I just wanted to get some opinions of what everyone thinks about the ARE Five stars on my 82. I've been running chrome ponies for over seven years on my cars, that I thought it was time for a change. I have always loved these wheels and I feel they are more period correct for my 82. The pics were taken by Capriman86, who once again took some awesome pics with that camera!:awsome: Thanks Jeff!

I feel bad...I thought they looked awesome on your, but the TSW's would look even better on your car. They would definitely be different too.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I'm very happy with them. Since it is an 82GT, I always thought those cars needed something more period correct. I can't go with the factory TRX wheels because those metric tires new go for $407 a piece now:omg:

I'm not a fan of those wheels at all, but I agree with it looking period correct. And, to be honest, it really does look good, so I guess it would depend on the look you are going with your car, to make the wheel choice look great.

I'm going to try and +3 the Capri on wheel size. I think 18x8/18x10's would look sharp on it :omg:

Thanks Mike. I'm so much happier with these wheels. They do a lot more to bring out the car. I didn't really care for the ponies on an 82 as much as 87-93GT.

Thanks Rob. That means a lot, especially since you aren't a fan of those wheels. They've been my favorite for years, but I was never able to find such a clean set.

Not a problem at all. These wheels aren't the most popular wheels around. I've always loved them and like the fact that they are period correct for the car. In my opinion, another good thing about them is that hardly anyone runs them on their car and it's something different. I'm definitely loving the car more and more with these wheels and still can't believe I have a clean set of them.:snicker:

Thanks! :mick: Those were always my favorite wheels for a fox body Mustang and it's too bad they no longer make them. I was lucky to get this mint set thanks to Capriman86. I just love the car more than ever with these wheels.

I think it looks sexy as hell with them!!!!! I like the fact that they are so rare!!! I am currently lookin for some rims that are hard to find for mine..I think it makes the car stand out more when you have something on it that you dont see everyday!

I totally agree with that one and I know where you are coming from about wanting different rims for your car that are hard to find. I honestly still can't believe I own a 82GT and a set of those wheels. They are two things that I never thought I would be able to find. I really love owning something that you hardly ever see.:elvie:

Most def.. I cant wait to get my rims...not many ppl are going to have mine..I am going to have to get them powder coated for the look I want!!! Ill give ya a sneak peek when I get them..:wink:
