Has anyone installed the new NSR (no springs required) cams from Ford Racing? If not, has anyone heard what they sound like?

Here's a link to the cams:

FRPP does not have a price listed and I don't know what Sutton has their's based on. I'll give my parts guy a call tomorrow and see what his bottom dollar would be on these. Maybe with some runner delete plates it would be worth trying.

Blow by racing stage 2 cams sound real nice. But ya need to install 4.10 gears and needs to be programed. Listen to # 11 the red stang, ok I really need to lay on the charm for this one.......$650 for cam, $230 for gears and about $800 for install and tune. Ok, i'm gonna do this on my own, as god would not be amused by me praying for a cam.....lmao

white_gt... those cams sound pretty damn good. Was the install a pain in the rear? How long did it take?

This is an old post, but here's an update. I've found a video with a car that is really running the FRPP Hot Rod cams.

I put a set in myself yesterday.

It's an easy install, about 30-45 minutes per cam once you get the timing chain and valve covers off. If you've never taken the covers off before, you have to remove the intake if you don't want them scratched. If you don't care, then it's a pretty quick deal. Besides the extra 30-50 ponies with a tune, the sound is simply incredible and that video doesn't do it justice. Add in the sound of a twin-screw supercharger and you're gonna make yourself smile for a long time.

They sound pretty good, but I'd go for the Compcams Stage 2 XFI SPR cams any day. They are good for a decent bit of power, and still retain the stock low end torque.
