I picked up a bumper cover for the '86 vert this weekend. The guy I bought the bumper cover from has a 1981 Cobra all torn apart. The shell looked good and it is a rolling unit with all the suspension. He has boxes and boxes of parts, and wants $500 for all of it. I don't have room for it, but if anyone is seriously interested, I can put you in touch with him. He lost interest in the projet and switched to a 4X4 Jeep. I could tell be the layer of dust that the thing has been apart for several years. I have pics in email if you want them.
The car is in Thornton Colorado

Wow, too bad that it is all apart. Does he have all the body pieces to put it back together correctly? I would like to see some pics. The 81 Cobra's are getting harder and harder to find.
I'd like to see some pics of your 86. Post some pics in the 4 EyedFreak section if you can. We all love pics here.

I really would like to see this thing go to a good home. The guy has a new kid, so I know his wife is going to make him get rid of it.

Don't laugh Dean, if it was local, it would be on a trailer to my house!

I knew when I saw where you were that you wouldn't be going after it. You are there near our shop (compared to where the car is). RI is a long ways from CO. We will have a group of Mustangs making that trip in June 2009 if you're interested. We expect some JBA factory participation, and they say they can bring a journalist from one of the Mustang mags with them to take pics and do a right up. We will be attacking the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup, just like we did last year.
