I am wanting to know which front bra ones are using on their 2005 and up Mustangs with the pony package. I see ones for the base and GT models, but the lower grill on the pony package Mustangs are different. I am looking at buying one for my 2006 Mustang pony package V6. Any help guys? Thanks.

the lower grille on the pony package is the same grille on the base model V6
only the GT has a different lower grille, the Ford bra is part# 5R3Z 19A413-BA
and it retails for $132.61.

I had to modify the fan cover extensions so the post cover part would attach but otherwise it's a tight fitting glove!

I sure like the looks of this on your V6 pony! Thanks for sharing your pics and giving me an idea of what this looks like plus what a fit. What mod did you have to do on the fan extension cover and what did this involve? :mick:

just becareful with those. the seems, despite how tight they fit, will rub lightly on your clearcoat and can cause wear spots over time.

Since I have the body kit on my car I was told to use painters tape for road trips. I have tried it once and it worked beautifully. I wouldnt recommend leaving it on for a long amount of time. All they need now is black painters tape, blue sticks out a bit lol The bra actually looks pretty good on your Stang!! I guess the black top helps it blend! Have a fun and safe trip! Be sure to post pics!!!

The painted pillar between the light and grill is covered by the leather and it needs to be attached with the plastic hook on the noise protector to the top of the pillar.
The fan extensions cover the top of the pillar so using a dremal tool, I cut a slit wide enough for the plastic hook.
I then bent the plastic hook back a little so it would hook into the slot I made in the fan extension cover. Guess if you don't have a chin spoiler or fan extension covers you won't have to worry about modding your mods.
Thanks for the tip about using painters tape. The back of the bra is covered with fluffy cotton but your concerns are mine too. That bra is comming off as soon as the trip ends. Bought it for long hauls only. I really wanted to do a clear protector but at $500.00...was too much for my pocketbook to handle.

yeah, $500 is steep for something that you can't take off for a car show for sure! I've always love those as you kept the overall look of the car without having something on the front yelling "LOOK AT ME" and was told to use them for long road trips only. I wish i'd have had one for my mystichrome whenever i went to houston...texas superbugs + newly filled bumper (had license plate bracket removed and filled) = tear in paint...but he did fix it for free while it was in the shop getting the quarter panel replace and repainted.

I have seen too many with rub marks on them, I would never use one. Had a friend with a brand new Bullitt ( back when they were new) and his was only on for one trip and he took it off for a show and you could already see scratches. Keep your front bumper and hood well waxed, bugs wash off, even Texas Love bugs....
My bumper has original paint and very few bug marks, even for 11 years old. Pics......
