Whats the top speed you have had your Cobra?

Mine...not very fast. Not much highway in Hawaii. Plus, 30MPH over there is considered a mistameanor felony now if I remember right. Plus, fines in the 1000s of dollars.

i am not a police officer so I would never go 155 on a hyway of the same name :whistling

My 91GT with 308 gears in Germany is the fastest I have ever been in a car. I can't verify the speed with a GPS or anything, but I buried the speedometer (145MPH) on the Autobahn in Germany.

well ive been at 120 in a cobra but thats is...

BUT i have been about 150 out at a GP course by houston...

scariest thing was 90 MPH in the sand dunes (GPS confirmed) on a KX250:wink:

I have been about 115 MPH in the stang and maybe 140 on my motorcycle.

the cobra has been up to 148mph. had the zx9r up to 150mph and fastest been in a car was 172mph on pocono raceway

Have had the terminator speedo pegged and could feel it still pulling in 5th.
Have no idea how fast it was going for real. Had to slow down as I approached
the next town.

i don't touch 5th or 6th gear in he cobra due to no cooling mod and the damn pistons melting...but i've hit redline in 4th gear on more than one occasion that 145 +/-

Well....the speedo only goes to 160...but my father had the needle buried. :D

I still havent driven my cobra, but in two more weeks i'll be tearin it up!

171 on gps, front end was starting to get light and road was running out, still had a bit to go. lowered and bigger tail and more road I don't see 180 as a problem.

200mph - 01 GSX-R 1000, power commander, lowered, full exhaust

165mph - 99 Lightning 3.73's, 90mm Pro-M, 4lb lower, Superchips programmed flip chip.

170?mph - 85 Mustang GT 2.73's, 400bhp, 100hp pills on top of that, 5500rpm in 4th was computed mathematically to be 155mph, I put it in 5th at 6100rpm, and continued to pull on spray. I shut it down when I realised how fast I was going ... The car was stable ... it was just .. fast.

I have had the fortune to drive a Ferrarri Modena @ 319 kph or 193-195MPH on the Autostrada between Verona and Millan in Italy. It was a rental that a friend payed for. I was in heaven and now I got the Need something fierce. I can't wait to get back and try my 650hp Term out on a track. Cause I gotta do it again.

Fastest I've ever gone in my Cobra was 130. It was when I first bought it, and I was driving back from Tennessee to Oklahoma (I had quite a drive to get my Cobra, but it was worth it) and put it into third gear while I was going 60 and layed on the loud pedal for a bit. That was enough for me. I'm more of a quarter mile guy, as opposed to a top speed guy.

I saw a video a long time ago where a guy was running his cobra on the autobahn in germany. He had minor mods like myself. If I remember right he topped out at 173-175MPH.

WISH I HAD A VIDEO! honestly, best rush of my life. I could get others to confirm the cars top speed, as I hit it a few times. again, love Texas highways.
Mods on TA were as follows-2" drop springs, KYB adjustable shocks, Boyd Coddington 17" aluminum wheels,245/45R17 Kumho MX's, race-built 4L60E(corvette servo's, kevlar bands, full rebuild, B&M shiftkit, SLP 2600 stall TC, Royal Purple fluid, aluminum 3-row tranny cooler), Eaton posi, MSD coilpacks and wires, LS6 intake manifold, SLP Cold-air package, Pacesetter long-tube headers, MIL-eliminators, Flowmaster exhaust, 160 thermostat, custom tune by The Car Shop. :snicker:
stock, car ran 12.6 at Little River/Academy Raceway 1/4 mile dragway.12.1 after mods, spinning thru 2nd off the line.(street tires, no grip):dbp:

Honestly, I would have to see a video of this. 99% of American cars would blow their motors up, I don't care how built the car is. Hell, even some of the European cars would have a hard time maintaining that speed for 2 hours.

I can see 180 clicks, but not 180 MPH.
