We are taking the flat black down to the first body line and up to the top body line around the rockers. It should be finished today and I will get it tomorrow...I think.
Stage three will be wet sanding and buffing (maybe because it will make the flat black more shiny) and a pin stripe between the black and the vista blue. Not sure what color to go with. Orange, silver, baby blue, white, red, purple...any suggestions?
If you want the black to be shiney, why not clear coat it

really don't want it shiney...that is why we might not wet sand it. It looks really good (stage 1 is flat black) but has a few small impurities in the paint. You probably would see it, but the common folk would have to look real hard.

Where this one is Orange, mine is VistaBlue. The flat black will follow the body line around the headlights (not done that way on the Orange car) and around the tail lights.

I am leaning towards an Orange barbed-wire (bobwar in Texas) pinstripe where the black and the blue meet.

Okay, I decided without y'alls help. Going with a silver striping to highlight the change from black to blue.

It is done. Hopefully, I will have pictures up this weekend. :)
cool. did you clear it with a low gloss clear or just use a base coat for the flat effect?
