View Full Version : Made some 1/4 mile passes in the '05

Went out with the local Mustang club last night and ran a few passes at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. This was the 1st time I have taken the GT down the 1/4 and the first time I have been to a track in nearly 7yrs

I'm happy with the results, I know the car has more in it but I really need more track time to get any faster. The wait to run was horrible! My car literally sat in line for 2 hours before I got to run :mad:

1st run:

2.22 60ft. 8.96 1/8 @ 81mph -- 13.79 1/4 @ 101mph

I shifted into 4th on that run and did not for the following pass.

2nd run:

2.15 60ft. 8.83 1/8 @ 81mph -- 13.58 1/4 @ 104mph

I got a little heavy on the throttle and spun BAD on the last run of the night. I actually let out and got back in and still ran a similar time. I know the car has more, I'm holding it back now...need more practice :woot:

3rd run:

2.16 60ft. 8.86 1/8 @ 81mph -- 13.59 1/4 @ 104mph

It was a blast, I had almost forgotten how much fun drag racing was :mick: I should have at least one vid as soon as I can get it from my club Pres., it's of the 1st run of the day.

Mods to the car:

JLT Cold Air
SCT Xcal2 Tuner
Pypes Axle-backs
255/50/17 Kumho tires all around

thanks Hugo, she was steadily spinning the tires through 1st. Still going straight and not hopping, so I just rode it out until it was time to pop 2nd. May need to get some drag radials mounted up for the next time :D
