Anybody know what it would take to transplant the OEM GT500 front bumper/grille/headlights/hood on a GT?

I have a buddy of mine that has come across a wrecked (rear, and drivers side) GT500. And the guy is parting it out.

Anybody have a tech article on how it's done?

Should be just bolt on's. I have no tech articles, but have seen several pics of GT's with this done. Have not heard of any issues.

They are... but that's why the whole front end needs replacing...

Headlights, grille, hood, I would ASSUME fenders, and bumper.

fenders from what i can tell are the same. its just the headlights, grill and bumper that swaps out.

My English buddy (in England) did it on his 05. I'm locked out of their forum or I'd get you some pics. Bad-ass though.

ok, all the pics you guys posted were the bumper and the headlights, and the grill, but the hoods are the GT hoods, the GT500s have a different hood that bows up in the middle to accent the grill.. so that right there tells us that its a straight swap, and from his pics, the fenders are the same. so thats a great way to go.. cant wait to see that done.

Yes, we have a gentlemen out here in CO that did that back in late 2005 or early 2006. It looks great and was a kick in the pants to drive around and get people staring at it, since the true Shelby GT-500 wasn't even out yet.

Yeah,

Swap out the Headlights, Grille, Hood, Bumper, & Fenders....

Nothing difficult.
