OOOOHHHh not sure this could be a pain in the ass. My 4 valve swap into my 96 GT was not good it needed tweaking and the wiring harness was not working well with the swap. You never know though a master could probable pull it off. I would love to see it that would be coooollll.

i dont think its worth it unless you're going to do a turbo or kenne bell set-up...but plus side they do make carbuation set-ups for the 4.6Lters!!!!!

Enh, I would do it for the reliability of the newer mod-motors and the power upgrade from a DOHC. The plans I have for my 83 RS Capri are 4.6 DOHC engine, harness, and ECU from a Mach 1 (manual transmission for the forged crank), 6spd and IRS from '03-'04 Cobra, paint from the Toyota line, and a set of 18" Boyd's :p

Have you made any progress on your swap? I'm getting ready to start the swap into my '86 vert. It is a V6/auto right now, but I have the 32valve, a TR3650, an 8.8 from a 97 GT, spendles from a 2000 GT, etc. This is my second 4eyed vert. I gave an '85 to my father-in-law for fathers day 2006 and then took it from V6/aod to 5.0/T5. This swap is to show off some of the parts we carry, so it will get a complete Maximum Motorsports suspension. I'm more interested in the issues you have with the wiring.

I plan on doing this same swap, minus the cowl fixing and minus the dash board! Looks scary, but I think it will be alright! nice examples though.
