85 Fog light indicator light.

Ok my fogs come on but the light doesn't tell me its on. I checked the light with a light that works and that didn't do it. I don't think its a ground problem as the lights come on. Kinda bugging meso any help will be much appreciated.:mick:

If you can pull the bulb out, check for 12 volts at the socket when the lights are on...using a volt meter. Sometimes there is a jumper wire between the switch on terminal and the light socket, may be loose or broken off the terminal. Sometimes the jumper in internal inside the switch. If that's the case, your gonna have to replace the switch for the light to work.

i wouldnt worry about it, mine dont work either and i just dont let it bother me. if the fogs work your good.

Ok well i have to do it the "fancy" way and use a test light lol. I'll try that and let you know.

you can also check under the dash by the fog switch, there is 2 plug ins that go to the switch

Holy Cow there was light somewhere that was supposed to work? MMMM learn something new everyday. I figured the lights were working that's all I needed. Then again we had to run mine on a toggle switch. The previous owners butchered my wiring in my old 85.

Well i fixed it but its got a bad ground wire in the dash so i just made a ground. Not the way i wanted to do it but it works.
