View Full Version : my 500$ wrecked car turn(ing) into a show car
i know i posted this somewhere but i think i put it in the wrong forum, and then on top of that i couldn't find it anywhere. i would make a list of parts and how i did what, but i don't think there will be enough interest to warrant spending the time to type all of that. if you want advice on how to do something you see on the car, feel free to ask.
all work minus the welding of the 1/4 panel was done by myself and a friend in a parking lot.

Wow, nice work. It's gonna be bad when it's done. :mick:

stock hood w/ scoop. however the truck intake + filter housing sticks up like a shaker hood scoop so i think i'll just cut the stock hood and use weatherstripping to create a seal between the plastic and hood.
and thanks.

Very impressive work :mick: I like the color choice too, should be a real standout.

yes. i roughed up the area front and back around the small holes and fibermatted a backing on it, then filled the holes with kitty hair and then body filler.
the 3rd brake light i just roughed up and kitty hair'd the holy crud out of and it took forever. creating that new body line was obviously a PITA and my bodyshop guru friend did ALL of that part, was beyond my level of skill.
