since this is my first experience with positraction/tractionloc rear ends... do they require any routine or special service... the gears were changed out probably 30k ago by the previous owner ... that's the only mx I know that has been done... the reason I'm asking this is when I pull out into traffic and have to get on it heheh :Dfist gear is hooking up good all through the drive train... a good firm shift to second on the other hand ... doesn't always have that crisp kick... almost like the clutch is slipping...when it's not.... or maybe I'm just paranoid due to slow cash flow... anybody have any experience with this ? current mileage is about 126K... 93 LX

might be the tranny. any thought of that instead of the rear-end?

With 30k on the rear, I would change out the gear oil.. Second gear it might be the clutch slipping, but it also might be you're paying more attention to things because you're worried about breaking something because of cash flow.

the clutch was changed out about the same time as all the other lite mods were done.... a King Cobra clutch was installed.... I do have a "minor" trans problem that started about a month ago...and possibly related... apparently the clutch fork and pivots are trying to roll craps on me... I have the clicking (or however you want to describe it) on clutch release ... would this possibly cause a partial clutch release and bring on a little slippage ?
and yes I think I may be paying more attention due to the temporary drop in cash flow....
thanks for the input y'all I really appreciate it.... maybe we'll cross paths at Mustangweek in Myrtle Beach

your problem to me seems for tranny/clutch issue then rear-end. id have to hear it to make any asumption on what it actually is. i dont like to say something and not be 100% sure unless ive delt with it in some way personally.
not sure when Mustang week is.. but im hoping to got to SSF in daytona tho.
