airbags did not deploy
maybe not too badly damaged unibody-wise

Airbag deployment ofter kills a car. Very costly to replace. Alot of times its the single most costly repair on a repair order if you break things down to individual tasks i.e frame time, qtr replacement, door replacement etc

can it be repaired leaving the airbags out - meaning not replacing them? is that legal?

I THINK Its illegal, but I dont think a shop would even do that. Too much liability

I have seen cars put together without the airbags, don't know about the legality of it. Well the numbers are dropping. Too bad this isn't a registry to find out how many have been totalled. I know one that is out of country. Guy bought one and sent it to Switzerland.

 Lets hope! I am not selling this one. Even if I retire in the Philippines, I am taking it with me. It will probably the only Cobra in the Philippines. I will tear me up some imports! They actually race some imports out there.

Man, I wish there was a way to run all the VIN numbers and see which ones are no longer around due to be totalled.
