my headlights i have had the new halogen h4 not the autozone starbright ones these were like 90 bucks or so i belive they are the tri bars in for about 3 years there designed to work with the older mustangs and electrics with no problems i just got a new hl switch when i picked them up as per manufacture sugestion so i did it and no probems for the past 3 years just now there blinkin on off they do get very hot i noticed that when i put them in a while ago but like i said for 3 years no problems and kinda nice being abel to see at night with good bright light instead of that crappy yellow light that i can only see 5 feet infront of me so im kinda stumped hopeing i just need to fix that one portion of the wire with that hole and then look for a loose/dirty ground so i may clean/put a new one on or just run a new ground wire if its a ground issue as i think it is

your switch might be going bad.. also, if the wires are getting hot, they might not be able to handle the headlights, so you have one of two choices.. change the headlights to the correct oem ones, or add a circuit to the light ( In know that's not the word I want, but I'm fried right now from working on my website... )

well i have replaced the the heallight switch and it is still doing it and the headlights have never given me a problem ever so i dont belive its them its probley that power wire with that small hole in it groundin out somewhare or to much resistance bc in that spool of wire one or more of those copper strands might be broken

check the whole wire to make sure it's not broken anywhere.. that would not be good if it is..

check the connection on the back of the head lights, sometimes the plugs get a little lose on there and move around as your driving that will cuase them to do weird things, and check if theres any corrosion in there that will do the same also, and check the tabs on the back of the bulbs ive had them come lose and screw up my lights good luck:mick:

The headlights in my '68 used to be intermittant. I got under the dash and rammed the wiring connector the rest of the way home, and voila, fixed.

My '67 has it where the instrument lights don't work though...

I forgot all about it this weekend.. they are or should be packed in one of my boxes, I just don't know which one.. I'm not sure if they were noise or quiet, I never heard the motor run.
