If you're going to upgrade from stock, replace them all.. Replacing a couple of them is like having half your motor hooked up to an msd type ignition, and the other half hooked up tp stock.. MSD is better, if you catch what I'm saying.

i know what your saying about you have more than one, thats what i was saying if you have 1 gone out i would replace all of them, its like me with tires. if i have one going bad i buy two not just one. im going to replace all of sandi's tires the guy had like 3 diff brand tires, i dont mix match brands. but thats just me.

They are not worth the money. the only time you might need them if you were running a blower or turbo and having spark blow out probs. I have a whole extra set of 8 oem units from one of my blown motors.

I had no idea GMS had these, I'll give it a shot. It'll prolly be better than the trickflow trackheat intake manifold I got, only picked up 7rwhp for $800!!!

To me, it's not worth it. Stock coil packs work fine enough. I would just replace one as it goes bad. I had 2 coil packs go bad while I swapped blowers, and haven't had a problem since then.

Well there is an update on that situation. Chad had a coworker look it over with the shop computer. It said my car is running perfectly, exclulding a bit of a lean burn in bank 1. He said it also told him its not worth dealing with (that situation.) However the misfiring him hearing is. We have no idea what the hell the problem is. Ive changed the plugs, Cleaned the throttle body, MAS, CAI, Coil Packs...And im sure countless other things... But nothing is working. Someone told me it could be my timing chain... but if it was that it wouldnt be out of bank 1 only.. it would randomly hit in 2. or so i believe...

For me OEM is the best coil to run. My brothers have bought the MSD ones and both of them in less the 100 miles had a coil go out, they called Jegs, and received a replacement coil to have 8 good ones, less then 100 miles later, both had another coil go bad. They switched back to OEM, and it's been thousands of miles, no problems. I run OEM in my 98 with a blower with no spark related issues.:mick:

My opinion = No, they are not worth it.
