Ok Darren, I adjusted the striker and it di help ALOT, and I took a better look at the weather stripping and it's a little mooshed so whatever little movement it has now will go away once I put the new stuff on.
Now, I don't know what the gaps are suppose to be, but to me the door/quater panel looks a tad to big, you tell me.

I was going to get you pansies.
The gap looks ok. Is the gap the same at the fender, and is it the same on both sides? maybe adjust the bottom of the door in just a tad at the hinge

The fender isn't back on it yet, I need a new header panel for the new nose I have plus, I'm filling in the antenna whole and stuff. that's going to be a few weeks before the fender goes back on.

the problem I was having? or the gap?

the body line alignment
I'm going to work on that this weekend, when my father is there.
it looks good to me. a lil high maybe, but definately not too low

A little high where? in tthe back? or the whole door?

looks like your door is low, you need to loosen your hinges and bring the top one in some.

I'll put the fenders on before I adjust it so I can get it perfect the first time.
I was looking at it wrong....but dont look at the moldings. they are different. look at the sheet metal. The door is a tad low, but not much

is there an easy way to adjust that? lol!
Hinges are welded to the pillar, or should be. Only way is to bend the pillar or hinges, which ever bends first. There is a tool but a jack and a block of wood will work. Just do it with the door only open enough to get the jack and block under it

damn. lol!
you do have a jack dont you? Dont worry, you wont break anything. Well, with you anythings possible. you are Fing Joey LMAO

I wouldnt worry too much about the fenders. They are adjustable in and out and foreward and back.

this is true..
Just make sure the pinch weld at the bottom where the fender bolts too isnt all jacked up from people jacking the car up there. Tods was like that and it had to be straightened before the fenders fit right

It's good, the previous owner was smart enough to jack it on the frame rail.
the bottom should line up good then. it can be moved in slightly by beating the pinch weld in some, or out by adding shims
speedfreak87
10-18-2007, 03:42 PM
I'm hoping no shims are needed, but I am more then likely not that lucky. lol!
thats because of who you are LMAO
if they are straight you prolly wont need any
speedfreak87
10-18-2007, 03:49 PM

I'll see this weekend. I'm almost 100% they are straight.
