haha man this is getting annouying. I just gotthe car back from having the convertable top fixed and yesterday when getting ready to leave work the trans started slipping again. I would put it in drive and it would sit for a few seconds before finally taking off. then pulling up to the stop lights yesterday and today. the car would do the same thing. if I try to give it some gas. it is like it has a stall on it and then when the gears do catch it darn near breaks my back. Something is up with it so I have to take it in to a shop. my extended warrenty said I can take it to any shop. So whats a good shop to go to over near Culebra and 410. I want somthing close as I hate making road trips.

Sucks dude, hopefully everthing gets fixed for ya quick
IF you have an extended warrany for any shop, why not take it to Red McComb Ford West? (previously known as Gillespie Ford).
Or does it have to be a speciality transmission shop?

yeah its extended warrenty for any shop of my choosing. I was thinking Gillespie but wanted to see if there was any other shops around that might be better in that area.

I think the Ford dealership would be your best bet. I personnaly don't trust any transmission shop. A few years ago on a Ford pickup I had the transmission was not shifting. Stopped at a Transmission shop, they checked it out and said they would have to pull the tranny and rebuild it at a cost of $2500. Turned out to be a bad modulator valve which I replaced at a cost of $9.95.

hmm that sounds like what i need to do then. Well the trans shop was decent but I know the first shop the car went to for the motor they people didnt know jack. they told me i had a AOD and not a AODE. then they didnt plug everything up right, and well just left everything all messed up. they also told me that the messed shifting they left was not a messed up transmission but a aftermarket upgraded stall converter. damm those people where dumb.
