Best Color post on SVTP

First of all..if your not registered on SVTPerformance you should be. Its a great site full of invaluable information to help any Stang owner regardless if you have a SVT or not. With that said..there is a thread with a poll for which is the bet color on a Terminator. Comp Orange is 2nd to Sonic Blue...hint hint-Shane

yup they have had a few best color polls over the years, and each time comp orange comes in near the top! :gt4her:

and usually sonic blue is the top most popular color

funny thing is outside of the enthusiast world, like for regular people who look at cars as just transportation appliances, orange is like waaaay wayy down on the list as one of the least popular

when i first got my car most people at work looked at me like i was nuts

i think that is another reason why they are rare - they only make a handful because they are not popular with the general public

but that makes it very popular with the muscle car enthusiast crowd

I agree, I have noticed that when I go to places like Fun Ford Weekend or other events just as big, cars like the Mystic and CO's get most of the attention. Mine is not a garage queen though, she is my daily driver

Of course my vote is for Competition Orange. Even before I bought this car, I was looking at a CO or Mystic.

I don't think the CO would ever win a color contest. Most people have never even seen one except in pictures due to the numbers. The majority of people will vote for the color they own. With the sheer low numbers, it will never win a contest. And CO is one of those colors that you love or hate. I have had people tell me its one of the best colors ever put out and the very next day someone tell me its the ugliest color they ever saw.

HAVE BEEN THERE DONE THAT AS WELL. In away I have to disagree Marc...true Mustang fans KNOW the history and significance of the CO's and the Mystic's so basically it all depends on how knowledgeable the people are that you are asking. Now if you ask people out here in CA I can promise you it will be the CO, Mystic and other rare colors that have escaped me for the moment BECAUSE THEY ARE ODD colors to them, the odder here the better TRUST ME!!! What I am having a hard time about at shows here is that I don't have $10,000 in mods to go ALONG with my Mystic paint and out here it's all about the "bling" and the "GO" My car is NOT that kind of car to do that stuff to, but the only reason I go to all these shows is I love my car and for the VERY few that know what she is and her meaning they are happy to see one because 99.8% of them never seen one in person!! To me that's what it's all about, I do get aggravated because people don't know the deal so they don't vote for me VS. another Cobra of another year that has no meaning but is say red with $5K under the hood.

Yellow is another color you either love or hate. I would vote for comp yellow, but Ford didnt make that color. Don't ban me for having a GM color. LOL

Actually I like Screaming Yellow on the Terminators. Before I bought my CO, I actually thought of buying one that was on the base. But, another guy beat me to the punch...in retrospect, I am glad he did now. I guess that is why I like my car so much and couldn't sell it when I got the assignment to Japan...just couldn't bare parting with it because of how much time it took me to find it. That, and getting it shipped from Florida to Hawaii.
