I have something really annoying going on with my car. The rear swaybar is coming loose WAY too often. I tightened it the last time I changed my oil (a few weeks ago) and it got tightened again on Friday when my new springs/shocks were being installed. Any recommendations as to what I can do to avoid getting under it every 1-2 weeks to check it? Will an aftermarket one stay tightened better, or is this normal behavior, or what?

Have you tried putting loctite on the threads? A small amount should help everything stay good and tight.

I have never had one come loose, I have had 2 break though, one was on a 97 GT, the other on a 98 GT. Try some threadlock on the bolts. :mick:

was thinking about the threadlock/loctite, but like I said it may need to come off again in the future. Is that stuff a PITA to get loose again when you WANT it loose?

Not if you don't over do it. There is one type that is considered medium strength, it's blue in color. I would try that 1st.
