So I get my car back today after having it at the dealership all weekend. They were supposed to replace my throttle cable, because some retard coiled it up. I took it in to get my radiator flushed, a/c compressor tube replaced, tensioner and belt replaced. Whatever they did to the throttle cable caused my accelorator to sit lower than usual and less power. So now that the cable ihas been replaced, its still not right. I dont know what the big deal is, but they need to get it right..I will be dropping it off tomorrow again!! Oh yea does anybody live over here by Sea World?

Turns out there is a new upgraded throttle cable out for V8 Mustangs 1999-2004. If you get a new cable installed, your mustang will no longer have the power it used to. There will no longer be any muscle/pull with high rpm's. Im thinkin that they put the wrong cable for my 04 GT. My stang drives like crap now. I doesnt feel like a V8 anymore.

We live right next to sea world (LadylimeGT & I). The factory gas pedal sits about 1 &1/2 in. lower than the brake or clutch. Many people have shorten the cable to make the pedal sit higher but I don't recommend that unless your going to do Autocross or road racing. By doing that you cause extra stress on the cable and after some time it will snap on you.

TYou sure? I think they are using the wrong damn cable.. I replaced the cable in my fox and it was like an entirely new car.

Ya that's to low. Take it back to the dealer and let them know they most likely put in the wrong cable.
