My NEW Daily Driver

Two days ago I purchased a 2002 Lexus IS200. It is the IS300 in the states. This car comes with the supped-up 160 HP 4 cylinder motor. It has the tiptronic transmission (automatic shifter on the floor and paddle shifters on the steering wheel (asks like a stick-shift).

The car was treated bad. It needed a detail bad. We cleaned the interior from floor to roof. The leather seats were treated to bring them back to their factory look.

The exterior need a wax BAD. I stripped all the wax off and then applied a cleaner wax with the buffer. Next came the hand wax. Man, it looks pretty.

I had the rear windows tinted yesterday. Limo, 5% tint...looks great.

Detailed the motor...so clean you could eat off of it.

Tomorrow is my next project. Next comes the wheels. They are 17 inch Chrome wheels but need some serious attention. They have some nicks in them and I am going to see if I can fill it in with a chrome paint. I will then polish them up and see how they come out. If they don't come out good, I will stick back on the factory wheels.

I will take the pictures tomorrow if it don't rain. I had it in the tint shop yesterday so it was still pretty dirty. Hopefully, I will have some shots tomorrow.

The previous owner was a prior Army guy. He is now a civilian working for the Navy and has an additional part-time job as a HP consultant in our BX.

Well the excitement was short lived. Got a check engine light and it won't idle worth a damn. I think I have a bad sensor. Just my luck.

Sensors can mess up anything, my mystic is proof of that. Glad you got it fixed and she's running good again. still waiting on pics though :nanana: you know I was gonna say that right? :snicker:

Actually the previous owner bought over the stock 17 inch stock wheels. They are a satin silver. I might swap out the wheels. THere are some chrome 17s on them now, but they are knicked up pretty bad.

sorry folks, I had to get to the states and we had that typhoon. I will get them when I get back. I did stick some new wheels on it and it looks really nice.
