Battery Tie-Downs?

Ok so newest mod on the stang is an Optima Red-top battery. I LOVE it; feels like a brand new car. Even with the little lid on it that becomes part of the try I would like to get a tie-down of some sort for it, but none of the universal ones I saw at Pep-Boys seemed like they would fit (let alone the one I DID get). Any of ya'll recommend one to me?

Yeah I know :D My butt-o-meter can tell the difference for sure :gt4her: Not to mention I used to have trouble starting it when it was hot or didn't prime the key for 10 seconds or so. Not anymore! :pianodan

We had to fabricate a set of hold downs for mine. we couldn't find anything that just bolted in.

Yuck. Well, I've been to Pep Boys every day last week and this week so far :D I just went and bought a new battery tray and tiedowns and kind of test-fitted them all while still there. Now I'm just hoping the tray will bolt into my car. Wish me luck! :gt4her:

My husband got the Optima yellow-top battery for his 69 Cobrajet and since he races it, he has to have the enclosed battery box..YEAH RIGHT...took 2 months and 5 different returns before we found one big enough for that dam thing. If you find one and the battery fits...you have been blessed. hell maybe it was just our luck :lmao1: :lmao1:
