Ok, its time for me to get a tune. I just put a vortech s trim on my 5.0 with trick flow heads cam and intake. I have heard nothing but the best about murillo, and letting him tune your car, but does anyone around here tune they're own, like with a tweecer, or a PMS? I am kinda on the fence here. I love to do things myself, and have some computer knowledge, but if Murillo is the best, then he is the best. So i guess my question is, is which should i go with?

This is an easy one for me Nick...Murillo. Supercharged apps (IMO) need professional tunes...

Just my 2 platinum pieces :pianodan

If your truly interested in tuning it on your own, you need to got o a several of the tuning forums and do some serious research. If it were a carb'd application I would tune it on my own, but for forced induction and fuel injection I get my cars tuned.

I did allot of my own tuning!! I thought that I could tune as close to Murillo with out spending the money. Wrong I was!!!! I finally broke down and had Mike tune my car. Now there wasn't a big deferents in total HP & Tq. But he was able to get more of my HP at the top of the RPM's and more of my Tq at the mid RPM's Giving me better launches(If I could just get some traction) And Higher MPH trap speed at the end of the 1/4mile. Now I'm sure I going to get better times soon but I have only been at the track twice from when Mike tuned it. :mick:

I do a lot of custom tuning and have been doing it for years. If you are in Mike Murrillo's area he is one of the best. Even the best guys around call Mike when they want the most power.

To me its like comparing single stage paint to base/clear. But I always compare apples to paint. :lmao: Get it tuned by Murrillo. You cant go wrong
