Cooling issues

Hey guys I need to know if anyone can tell me where BESIDES FORD DEALERSHIPS I can get a CCRM for my 96' Mystic Cobra. We have pretty much got it figured that it crapped out on us and I gotta get a new one...tons of car shows coming and I gotta get her going again..I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA..meaning please don't tell me somewhere I can't get it sent to me. THANKS!!

Just gotta ask, why not go back with a ford one? The price isn't that bad.
F6SZ.12B577.AA and it retails at $160.43..just talk to the parts guy and ask for a discount, if you're nice about it we will always help the customer out.
But if your heart is set on a used one they are the same for a GT and a Cobra. I just wouldn't pay more than 40-50 dollars for it cause it will probably go out in a year or so as well.
Also I am not aware of any aftermarket products that offer a CCRM.

This is common for going out on mustangs. Your best bet is to get one from the dealer. They are not that expensive and if you get a used one or aftermarket it may not last as long. :mick:

YOU BUYING IT FOR ME?? :wink: I have no idea what the hell the deal is with this dam car..I'm pissed my husband is well, let's just say upset as well.

We changed BOTH sensors, we checked the connection at the fan NO low speed reading but high is ok. We changed the t-stat. We checked the power on the sensors themselves..fine.
When you start the car at the temp rises NO low speed, NO high speed til she's almost ready to blow (don't get excited fellas)
ANYWAY, when the temp is on the high side and turn the AC on she drops and she's good. When we checked the resistance on the ECT sensor we had correct reading so we unplugged the ECT, started the engine and jumped the 2 connections within the plug and the fan came on BUT I thought if the CCRM was bad it would NOT come on?? ANY IDEAS..I'm game to hear them because we are out and I can't just take my Mystic to anyone because of the paint..I did that at Sears...NEVER AGAIN!! The Ford dealer here in town is well let's just say they have had my 06 F-150 in the shop 7 times within 10 months and it still isn't right. The nearest dealer to me is about 100 miles out.

You could convert it to a manual electric controller like mine. Its Under the dash and I can set to for Hi and Lo speed seperatly to any temp I want.

Yeah I have thought about it. The reason I haven't is because of it being a Mystic and the resale value if and when I do sell it won't look good.

How would they know, you would still use your factor fans, the controler would be hidden under the dash.

NO it's not fixed yet, don't think it is the CCRM because the low speed does come on every now and then BUT what we are doing is this weekend I have a huge cara to go to and the sponsor of the show has a shop and he's gonna get me in Saturday (8am) to test the whole car, so IF the CCRM comes back to def be bad YES I will def need you to get it for me. If the CCRM is ok and they can't find anything...then well I have no freakin idea. I guess just get a bigger radiator and dual fans and be done with it. Give me til Monday, I have not forgot I have been very sick the past few days...ask Harold!! I have not ignored you please don't get upset thinking I am just blowing you off...well umm you know what I mean.:blkvnm:

Hey Ray I never did get to tell you..It was my CCRM that was bad. The guy that found out what it was and what not got me a new one and did the labor for $200.00 I'm sorry I never got back to you on it. Things been crazy around here and I happen to come across the thread. I didn't mean to forget to thank you for the offer and what not I greatly appreciate your offering to help.:blkvnm:

RRAAYYYYY. I need help. I get my new CCRM right!?! been working fine actually, went on the Big Bear Cruise. Step hills and tight corners:mick: :mick: all the way then on the way back same deal because you can only go one way up and down from my side of the mountain ANYWAY we go to the drive-in same night which was Sat 25th well we get home I park her in the garage..as always..had to go to the store and what not Thursday and I'm in the drive-thru at McDonalds with my kids..just get my food and look down REDLINE!! so I kick the AC on and haul ass home only about a mile. I back her in the garage and she "throws-up" everywhere. Had no warning she just shot up. I had the system burped 2 times already just in case of a pocket so any suggestions
