I just added long tubes on my Mach 1, so my friend got the urge to do the same.
He added MAC long tube headers and off road h pipe. He got a tune e-mailed to him from Dallas Mustang since he has a SCT tuner he got from them.
He paid $270 in labor to add the long tubes. (Baytown, TX)
His car runs very strong now. Amazed me how much power he has. Both tunes from Dallas Mustang have been great and they are matched for the mods but not custom. They sent tunes they had done for other customers cars with similar mods.
We are adding a few more parts to his car and then he is dynoing again.
He did 251 rwhp at Murillos a month ago before long tubes.

LT's on a mod motor are a bitch to install. $279 for installation is a great price, around here they chrge no less than 500. Although most of us do em ourselves. Great mod, great torque, but just not worth the trouble for an N/A motor with light mods.

I have a guy in Baytown, TX that installs for that price. He does it on the side on weekends. There is a line to get it done.
Even for light mods I think its worth it. A tune is a necessity though. My car picked up power but not as much since I didn't tune it yet.

LT's are a great mod but a bitch to install like stated before... a Tune is a MUST .... I dynoed at 271 HP / 317 TQ on a heavily modded NA GT

My air/fuel is still way off after install. 11-1 after 4500 rpms
I am gonna tune it as soon as my off road h pipe is on and my new JLT is put on.
Was gonna do it this weekend but I was in Houston and it rained all wkend.

I went with a real conservative tune and did 13.2 AFR all the way across the band .... car seems to run a little rich (exhaust smell) but all in all, it works great for me with the South Texas weather ... I may go back and have it re-tuned and have it lowered to 12.2 - 12.5 AFR

I like to keep N/A tunes between 12.8-13.0, but not above 13.0. My current tune is so screwed up, my AFR is all over the place, 11.4 at idle, which is crazy, and it stays at like 11.2 across the board. It's crazy rich. Just need to get in physically good enough shape to drive my car to Charlotte to get retuned.

Bulldog: I saw in your mod list Tuned by Strictly. Did you have all mods and only tune once or have they re-tuned since? Did they charge for additional tunes? My tune is from Strictly, but always hard to get a tune.

I took my car with my club (10 cars or so) and Richard pulled the car 3 times to get it tuned ... I had just driven in from Victoria and the car was HOTT ... I wanted it to cool down a bit but he wanted to do it then ... The only difference in mods from then until now is I have changed mufflers to Magnaflow, upgraded the rear-end to a 31 Spline and added the A/C Bypass Kit ... I have not taken it back to get re-tuned as of yet ... I believe he only charges Dyno time to get it re-tuned ... Call him or Anthony and ask .. make sure you tell him that he originally tuned it ...
