Hey maybe ya'll can help me narrow this down. While the car is in gear the engine starts to die out and just about almost completely dies. I was thinking it may be either the fuel pump or filter. What would ya'lls opinion be? Thanks for the help guys. Or Am I way off base with my guess?

IAC?

Joey, it is auto, unfortunately I have no a/c yet, need to get it charged, no stereo. It acts like it isn't getting enough fuel when getting started. I just recently replaced the rubber hose supply line that goes up to the fuel rails.

IAC or TPS

If it's just running rough and not surging, it's usually not the IAC or the TPS, but it is possible. Clean the MAF, clean the IAC, check the timing, hell check your air filter(it may be dirty), if you haven't replaced the fuel filter in a while do it now just for regular maintenance, pull the plugs and see what they look like.

Had this issue once on my GT and it ended up being a 1" gash in my hose leaving the upper intake. Just another thought-Shane

If its the IAC alot of time you can tap it with a wrench and it should "un-stick"

Thanks for the ideas guys, I will check them this evening when the wife gets back from work and the kids baseball game is over and let ya'll know the results of the check. Appreciate the help everyone.

What about spark plugs? How old are they? Are the clean? Have gaps widend? They recently get wet?

I swear to gawd spark plugs cause a lot problems that a lot people would normally not think about.

Ya know Mick, I haven't checked the plugs but I do lucky me have a brand new set in the trunk of the car. Wooohoooo. I will go ahead and replace them. I am hoping that I will have some money in the next couple of months to spend on the interior and a few goodies for under the hood.

Hmmm.. Check you idle, auto's should e around 800 at idle, then check the iac, while you're at it, just clean the TB&IAC.. it sounds like it's not getting enough air, it doesn't sound fuel related to me, but it doen't mean it isn't... so if you haven't replaced the fuel filter, do so at this time. it's a cheap easy fix.

This may sound stupid but what is the IAC? I know what the TPS is but not quite sure if I know what the IAC is.

Idle air control I think

correct

Idle air control valve, usually small cylinder connected on the air intake(metal) connected with 2 bolts
