i have a 2004 silver v6. I've only had it for a month now and i have

flowmaster super 40s (dual)
flowmaster catless h
bomz racing cai (went the cheap ebay way!)

im getting a radar detector next (to be safe haha)

but after that im thinkin about new headers then some new underdrive pulleys rear differential gears and a tuner. i just dont know if i can do all of that because im tryin to not void the warranty on the car.

I dont know about your warranty, but as for your future mods gears would probably be your best bet. They dont add HP, but it will feel like a totally different car!

As far as Warranty you can add anything you want to your car and it will not void the warranty. The only time Ford will not cover a car is if the aftermarket part is a direct cause of the failure

really? i thought there were some parts that you cant replace without voiding the warranty? so basically they dont cover the aftermarket parts... is this the same even if the car was just bought used from the ford dealership (was certified and came with the warranty)

Yes they don't cover the aftermarket part or will they cover a part that broke B/C of the after market part. for example if you put in a S/C in the car and your A/C goes out. There is no way they can prove the S/C broke your a/c but if you spun a bearing then most likely they will not cover it B/C the S/C could have caused the problem.

true story...I had 4.10s and managed to break the carrier within the diff and Ford covered it!!

of course if you blew your engine following the installation of a supercharger they would more than likely NOT warranty the damage...I didn't even bother asking after suffering piston damage follwing the installation of my blower...

Don't worry man, if we see you with a set of chop sticks we'll beat you back into reality :mick: Sounds like your off to good start, gears would be the biggest seat of the pants feel, 3.73's or 4.10's if do alot of highway driving go with the 3.73's. You will need a hand held tuner to calibrate your speedo, which will also give you a bit more gain with the tune. When you do the gears, you should also add a trac-lock differential, or locate an 8.8 rear and have gears added and swap that into your car, your stock 7.5 will hold up just fine until you start beating on it, yes even a 6 banger makes enough power to break it.

so when i get new gears i should get a tlok, rear differential and a tuner at the same time?

Alright another Sixer! Hey man, I got my car the same way back in High School. Still I am having fun... shudahadav8 has been helping me with mine and I've more or less stuck to the bolt-ons (exhaust, all that stuff) and it looks like gears are in the very near future for me, too.

Yeah, it's a Sixer, but it's a Stang, it looks sharp, and it is still a blast to drive.

Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act

Do a google search and it will explain what will void the warranty. This should help with the parents and it can be helpful when bringing it in for warranty coverage.

Hey man, welcome. I have a six too and I love it. Mine has all the GT look except for the rear clip and side scoops. My goal is to have it running like a mad ape if I decide to keep it. Welcome!

I was lucky and got the car with the wheels. They are 17/8's. I would like to go with the deep dish in the rear later on. I am hoping to find someone that wants to trade their deep dish for some to match their front. Any questions man, just feel free to ask.
