How hard would it be to convert a vert into a coupe and is it possible? I was just curious. I've been throwing the idea around in my head, but it may be easier just to get a coupe rather than converting the one I have. Another deal I have to think about is the cost, may not even be cost effective to convert it.

It's not worth it. Get a coupe if you want a coupe. It's not as easy as just welding a coupe top on the vert.

I am thinking, without much knowlege of fox bodys that it would just end up costing you alot of money and it would end up being cheaper to get a coupe.

I figured as much. Just thought I would ask the ones who would know for sure. I may try eventually try to sell the vert if I can find a solid coupe or hatch to trade for. I just don't know if I could get enough for my vert.

Getting what I paid shouldn't be a problem, just may be hard to get another solid running car for 3,000.

Just can't afford to sell it and end up with only one car right now.

You shouldn't have any problems finding a solid running coupe down there for 3k... hell, my 81 ran and it was sitting for 8 years (had a straight 6). I only paid $500 with very minor body work.. With what I've put into it so far, I could have put a down payment on a new one. lol1 so $3k shouldn't be that hard to find.

Easier said than done. Some people down here have big heads and think that just because they have put a crap load of money into a car then they will get it back plus some, not gonna happen. I found a 96 for 4000 in the auto trader but no telling what is wrong with it.

yeah, it's hard to find a desent fox for 3000 anymore. Got mine for 2800 but needed alot of work

As long as you're not in a hurry, you can find one.. you might have to go to other states also... When I was looking for mine, I was about to take a trip down to GA just to LOOK at one, because the guy wanted $1k for it..

I will probably stick with what I have. I like the car, it is fun to drive. I just wish I could get in some decent off duty work to get some extra cash to do more to the car than what I have done so far.
