just got my cold air

i just installed my cold air intake today. but i have one question. the air sensor or whatever you hook into the cai goes into a little hole that has rubber around it... but my hose wouldnt reach that far so i put it in a different hole a little closer to the throttle body. is that alright or will that mess with my car? i just plugged up the other hole because i read thats what your supposed to do because on 01 and up v6s they relocated something so you just plug that hole up. the intake and car seems to be workin good. just wanted to know about this. thanks

you should be fine ... I would maybe go down to your local hardware store and by 2 ft of hose and cut a new one to extend the length a little ... :)

alright. well they gave me a hose with the kit so i could extend it that way but ill leave it be for now until i get time to do such a thing. :mick:

Thats what I would do, I didn't ever have to relocate anything with my CAI on my 04 six.

alright well when i get some time ill extend the hose then plug up the other hole. the hose just needs to be a little longer so it shouldnt be too bad

ok here are pics. the first pic is of the intake and you see the black tube (the one i need to extend) is connected to the blue tube which i got with the intake and it is then connected to the intake. (i think) i need to cut the black tube and extend it with the blue tube and hook it into the hole that has the red stopper in it. the second picture just shows where the other end of the tube goes

alright well i extended the tube to the other hole and plugged up that one yesterday. doesnt seem different at all but im pretty sure thats how its supposed to be
