Needing some info for my uncle on taking a 66 Stang from auto to standard. Any links on tech or parts buying would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance-Shane

If I recall, you need a T-5 ... bolts right up i believe ... would have to use an after market shifter i think ....
I may be totally wrong ... just my :twocents:

there are conversion kits available at some of the classic Mustang parts stores. I once owned one that was converted from auto to a 3 speed (if you can believe that :omg: ) and it was half done. I had to scrounge parts from a donor car in a wrecking yard to hook up the pedal linkage properly. Its easier than a late model though! Check Texas Mustang Parts or Dallas Mustang Parts, I think I have seen the kits in their catalogs.

There is also one here in San Antonio .. Alamo Classic Mustangs or something like that ... they are off of Bandera Rd on the North Side
