I installed steeda sport springs/tokica 5 way struts/shocks set to the middle setting. The handling was much better and I was very happy. Then I noticed I was using a lot of power steering fluid. I found a leak on the left grommet of the power steering unit. I took my 2000 GT(30000 miles) to the dealer before I deployed. They told me I needed a new steering unit for $450, but not before I replaced the springs with OEM sprongs. They said lowering the car had caused the damage. I can't recall hitting anything that could have hurt the steering. I am not sure I believe them. Has anybody had this problem before?

By lowering the car you cause heaver bumpstear that can put more presser on the ps pump. But if you install a bump stear kit or put the steada X2 ball joints that should help with that problem.
