timing gears

I am rebuilding a 69 302, bored 40, and was wanting to know about timing gears. i am wanting to know what you guys think about the noisy timing gear. anyone have one that i can get a clip of it? thanks guys and gals!

I had a '90 that had a 306 with timing gears. Noisey, Yes. I guess it all depends on wheather you can handle the whine or not. But you would never have to worry about losing timing or breaking a timing chain again. I would say do it. :mick:

it's called a gear drive system, and yes... some are very noisy.....

yeah, they have noisy ones and quieter ones...will cost ya though...you can geta cloyes double roller timing chain for like 50 dollars. i think those gear drives are like 200?
