I am considering a painting project for my stang and have heard of people doing this themselves. I am considering painting my hood scoop flat black and rear spoiler flat black if you have any objections I care about what people think about my car. Could a person do this themselves and it look really good? And if so what are the steps on painting it. I also need to know what paint to purchase and other supplies. Let me know please bc I want to do it possibly at a mod day. Below is a pic of my car. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m154/gigem_aviator/Stangdiagnol.jpg

It can look ok if you do it right and use good paint. You might have to do it again in a year or two. Clean them real well with wax and grease remover, Wet sand them with 600 grit and a soapy water solution. Dish soap works good. Dry them well and paint. Make sure you will be able to hang the spoiler or set it up somehow so you can paint all of it without having to touch it. As far as paint, just remember, you get what you pay for.
