Looking for recommendations on new skins for my '03 GT. The Goodyears have just over 10K and are looking pretty sad.

Yup! The front ones are definately the best. Seems they would put a little better tire on from the factory. They didn't even stick that well when cornering. Sure did smoke alot! :woot:

Z rated is what came on it but I am not sure that I would ever need to have a tire rated at 149 mph.

+1 on the Nittos. I'm happy with my wider-than-stock NT-450 Extreme Performance rubber. Stock was 235/55s, and these are 255/50s. The stockers were ZR rated, but they didn't grip sh... These are R rated, and were pretty impressive in heavy rain/wet pavement! I think they're a 40K mile tire, too.

I really enjoyed the Yokohama's I had on. Expensive ($150 each) but well worth it IMO :)

i run Nitto 555 drags on my 02 GT and have no complaints. 315/35/17s out back and 275/40/17s up front. they are super sticky and i have no complaints what so ever... really low milage life on the drags though...

I would have to agree on the Nitto's. Good tires and stick good to the road on WOT

bfg kdw's

KDW's are good for dry and wet. hence the "DW" in KDW. there not as good of a performance tire as the KD's.
the first car ever to feature the KD's was the 00 Cobra R.

I have Sumitomo's on my 03 GT. On the back that is. Ive enjoyed them for 1 reason. You can squeel them but thats all you get.. the things grab in the back extreamly well. I havnt had to much a chance to drive them in the rain. W preformance rating also =D get them at any tire center... pep boys or a tire barn. 275 for 2 though 60k warente =D
