ok, here's the deal. i'm gonna be doing gt40p heads and i have comp cams rollers (stud mount) w/ guide plates and i'm either going to keep the b303 cam, or i'm gonna swap for an e303 cam. i know i'm gonna need hardened pushrods, but i don't know the length i'm gonna need. i know this is a recurring question and i apologize, but i couldn't find the answer in the forum search. any help is greatly appreciated. oh yeah the studs are part # CCA-4500-16, the guide plates are part #CCA-4816-8, and the roller rockers are part# CCA-1331-16. source is summitracing.com i already have the rockers, and i'm ordering the guides and studs as soon as i find out push rod length. i just wanna order everything in one shot. any info is greatly appreciated, i'm in korea right now and want to get the parts so i can have everything there when i get home (minimal down time for the car. thanks in advance.

I dont think anyone is going to be able to tell you what length pushrod you need. Its one of those things with too many variables. Have the heads ever been milled, had the block ever been decked, do the comp cam rockers have a slightly higher mounting position, have the valve seats sunk at all, blah blah blah.

All of these factors can change the length of the push rod. Your best bet is to measure it yourself using an adjustable pushrod and a solid roller lifter.

In my case, I went with the Crane stud conversion kit which does not require any machining of the head to install. It also comes with nylon inserts so you dont need hardened pushrods. I also used Crane stud mount roller rockers with it. Fortunately, Crane makes pushrods for this set up that are .117 longer than stock. They work great for me.

The only negative to my set up is that using the Crane conversion kit, the weak link is that you are still using a 5/16 stud in the head ( the rest is 3/8) so if you plan on using insane spring pressures or revving it to a bajillion RPM, then it may become an problem.
