Driving down the highway, well anywhere, going above 15mph and i take my hands off the steering wheel it "shakes" back and forth. dont know what it is. and idea? :confuse:

ball joints could be going out or the struts.

:werd: I was gonna say struts too ... or could be alignment and irregular wear on your tires ... even as simple as a thrown weight on one of you front tires

cheapes would be balance the tires, the alignment after that I woiuld do ball joints and struts.

There is lot of things that can cause that. But one of the most over looked is checking the brakes. warped rotors will that more than anything else. That's the first thing I would check.

it shouldn't do that unless you're braking.

If the rotors are warped bad enough it will. Because on every rotation they might hit the pads.

have you panic stopped anytime? you could have some flat spots on your tires...i know some kid brought a scion in complaining about vibration...at 5 miles an hour it felt like the wheels were going to fall off...turns out he was trying some tokyo drift stuff, lol. ..loser..
