I'm trying to get my own little detail thing going here in this small town and am wondering what is the best car wash soap you can buy off the shelf.I am using Meguiar's car wash right now but I would like to get some input from the crew.Is what I'm using good or not and why?I would like to know.Plus there is a dude that washes cars here and I think I can do a better job than him but I need to know so I can at least give my future customers a damn good looking vehicle hehe!! I'll save the Zaino for me LMAO!! :mick:

Honestly, if you're looking to make money from it, I would get ziano. My sister uses that stuff, my father on his black impala show car, I bought it for my ex because she likes the way it make her car look.. the better the look, the more money you can make.

But, if you're dead set on over the counter, I would use mothers products.

If you washing other people's cars that do not have several coats of Zanio polish on them already, I am not sure that the higher priced zaino car wash will make them look any better. Don't really know. Never did that.

As long as the wash job is very detailed in the process (door jams, trunk channels, etc.) with a good off the shelf wash you shoud be ok. I don't think Zaino wash will increas the shine on a unzainoed car.

I recently purchased a Kit from MOTHERS (Reflections Series) and the Car wash works very well, along with the Waxes. If your trying to start a small
Buisiness MOTHERS would be more cost effective than Zaino. You could offer Zaino as an option. Im an AMSOIL Independent Dealer, AMSOIL carrys all of MOTHERS Car Care Products,Car Wash, Waxes, Detail Waxes, Bruhes, Upholstry Cleaner, Leather Care, Plastic Polishes, Towels etc.....

If you Sign up as a preferred Customer with AMSOIL you buy at Wholesale prices instead of Retail prices. You can save as much as 20%. Preferred Customer Membership only cost 20.00 Dollars a year and its delivered via UPS to your door step.

You can sign up thru the AMSOIL link on United Stangs or if you need more Info you can contact me at mdsynthetics@yahoo.com or call me at 210-218-4131 :blkvnm:

When opening a Detail facility, cost of product is a important issue as well. Most
Car Dealerships/Body Shops buy their products off of commercial vendor trucks such
as Pro Magic located in Flint, Texas near Tyler. 1-800-671-1845 They run mobile routes and have a long list of referrals including myself. Besides soaps, they also
sell and service carpet extractors, buffers, and multiple specialty products including
"Bugzapper", a phenominal spray on-rinse off bug remover and they do demos for clubs. :mick:

As BDiddy said, cost is probably your MOST important factor in starting up. For a general use wash, the only thing you want to avoid is dish soap type products. The bulk car wash liquid you can get at Sam's or Costco will serve you well. On a general exterior wash, you will not be able to tell a difference between a car done with them and one done with the more expensive stuff by parking them side by side just afterward. ProMagic might be able to hook you up with a good deal, too.
Good luck on your business!!
