ok here's the deal. i had the wife take the car to the emissions place to have it tested. it passed everything, but the hydro-carbon test. it needs to be below 3, and it's sitting at 3.19. this car is pretty well into the modification stages. i just ordered some stuff considering it's running rich, hope maybe this works not too sure though. i got a 76mm maf w/ 24# injectors, and a 70mm throttle body and egr spacer. i'm also going to be ordering a new ignition for it. i was looking at either an msd setup or this http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=JAC%2D343155&N=700+400360+4294908331+429484 0126+4294908282+115&autoview=sku if anyone has any suggestions on this it would be much appreciated.
just need this thing to pass emissions. here is the modificationlist for it now http://www.unitedstangs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16255 also it has an idle issue when the car is warm it surges, but when you disconnect one of the vacuum lines to the charcoal canister it doesn't have the idle issue.
thanks in advance

sorry never had to deal with emissions testing. Is your smog equipment still on the car? What about your cats?

Just checked up on a few things to do. First drop some timing, maybe even go lower than stock. Try 8*, new o2 sensors will always help. Also do a basic tuneup, plugs, cap, rotor...... Change the oil, hydrocarbons can be a direct result of oil blowby. Try thise things and get back to us

I have never had to use it but I understand that there is a fuel aditive that will help pass the test. do a search for it. I dont know the name.

car has had a lot of maintenance lately. new air pump, new cats, timing is set at 12* so i know i'll have to pull that back. everything passed but the hydrocarbons (cats, o2's, air system). also, the car doesn't want to idle properly from time to time, this happened after the cam was installed. if i disconnect one of the vacuum lines going to the charcoal canister it doesn't have the idle problem. oh well, i'll have to pull timing and see what happens.
thanks for the help guys.

thanks for the help guys..... the wife's gonna pull the timing and do the rubbing alcahol bit. since i'm in korea right now i can't do it, but she's a decent mechanic so i don't think she'll have a problem.
